An episode of the Bush Mechanics. I was the local bloke. A series of stories from the outback in Warlpiri country - Tanami Desert. This is episode 2.

I allways wanted to visit Australia , such a big interesting place . Thought i hate snakes, spiders ......seeing snakes could freak me out 🥺
 
It's fine mate. Kinda like accepting the circumstances. Sorry but I have harmless Pythons in my roof. Occasionally leave their shedded skins around the place hanging from obscure places about the house. My daughter found a skin yesterday while working on one of the patios. It was old.

While I have been bitten by one relocating it to safety. It was my fault. Another story but no probs. I like them. They are timid and only aggresive when they find a rat, mouse or possum in the roof cavity. I ignore the spiders (dyespers) until they get overwhelming. Not unusual to see a huntsman crabbing across the wall but they do their job. Just deflects when you're watching the TV mostly.

Need to check my footwear if I leave it outside. Easy chore by tapping the shoes/boots although I have been bit because I didn't. Nowadays I take me footwear off inside and keep it elevated.

Only in the country. City you'll be fine.

Melting the lead out of a dead battery to fix a cracked radiator? Genius and very MacGyver.
 
Appears to be a cool mini-series from way back.

I was stung once by a damn scorpion in the morning for not tapping out my boots. That'll teach ya son!

Yea, you got some MacGyver alchemy going on with the melting lead.

Always wanted to visit Alice Springs and Western Australia. Gold coast if I still have time.
