We're getting a bit of a late start on typical summer temps but now that our monsoon season has officially started, we get the heat and the crazy storms to go along with it. El niño supposedly will make things extreme this year but I'll be surprised if we beat the 119° (48.33c) we hit last summer.

With the monsoons comes super cool dust storms called haboobs. Watching these things roll in and obliterate everything is really cool. Everything gets covered with dust then it usually rains making quite a mess of things.

My outdoor woodshop is fortunately covered so I don't get any direct sunlight until late afternoon but it is still hot AF. I don't really mind it much until it hits about 114° (45.5c).

This week isn't too bad but our humidity and dew point are up. Overnight temps aren't too bad...yet. Still over 100° (37.78) at 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. is totally common in July and August.

I wouldn't be able to live where you do. Ever since my skin grafts due to a fire my body has a hard time regulating temperature, above 80 and I feel like I'm constantly fighting heat stroke.

Wow! It doesn't even get below 80 here at night. Next month it probably won't get below 90. We had an overnight low of 97 last year.

Think I have posted https://postimages.org/ before without using a link button. Ah well... lets try it again.

I don’t mind 80 to 90-degree weather if the humidity is low... a nice breeze can actually make it pleasant. But today? Not so much. The humidity is sitting at 81%. 😬

While I haven't got a graph as such where I live the temperature hit 25C or 77F today under the back verandah.

This is not usual for here in Winter. Normally it should be around 15 to 20C at max late in the season - 59 to 68F during the day. The sun was piercing white and impossible to look at. Now at night, sure it gets down, but there are no frosts which would be expected. I've mentioned in other forums that my pear trees blossomed at the start of winter, now they are showing signs of fruit. This would normally happen in spring.

There is also intermittent rain. Thats an early summer sign. Been here nearly 14 years and haven't seen this before.

Season is sure mixed up.

Wonder what summer will bring. Last summer the temps were constantly over the 40C's or 105F up to 118F and heavy storms in the afternoon. But that's here, which is in the back hills. Different for sure.

Oops. I posted too soon. Last night was freezing. but today sunny again. I'll have to get me another blanket on the lounge and wear my beanie tonight.

Those temps are with HUMIDITY, not nice dry heat like in ARIZONA.

Though I will say even with only 2-3% humidity when the temps go over 109F it can kill you quick. Just my experience, others may differ.
 
It's about normal here but maybe a little under average?

Re above: Set your thermostat to 78°? I would be cold. I only turn mine down to 81 when I go to bed. During the day I let it get up to 92 then at 7:00 pm when my energy rates go down, I start dropping it a few degrees at a time. If I kept the temp at 78, I'd have to sell a kidney or something to pay the bill.
