The information situation is in Hopeless / desperate status level , mostly ...too much in general is how i feel it .

I stumbled upon this tweet on X , and it feel`s truthfull enough . I can only add that in my opinion the current status is both Orwell’s 1984 / Huxley’s Brave New World . Plus other things .

The truth is not hidden - it is almost always readily available. But it is buried beneath an industrial quantity of noise: propaganda, outrage, half-truths, conspiracy theories, influencer theatre, algorithmic rage bait and an endless stream of content designed not to inform us, but to keep us emotionally stimulated.

The modern information system does not need to censor the truth when it can simply drown it in noise.A fact no longer has to be disproven - it only has to be surrounded by a hundred competing claims, stripped of context and nuance, turned into partisan ammunition and pushed into the same feed as celebrity gossip, memes and 15 second videos engineered to deliver the fastest possible dopamine hit.

By the time the truth reaches us, it appears as just another piece of content competing for our attention. That is the more sophisticated form of control: not preventing people from knowing, but exhausting their capacity to care. Orwell feared a world in which people would be deprived of information. Huxley feared a world in which they would be given so much distraction, stimulation and triviality that they would lose the desire to seek it. The defining struggle of our age is therefore not simply between truth and censorship, but between truth and indifference.

The noise level is up to roof now , what ever happens out there , the theorys, opinions ,views fill the information space instantly in scale where human brain/mind start to feel difficulties to comprehend/ perceive all ....or select which one is fake and which one not.

It just feel like an endless squirrel wheel ....with no end. Not blaming individuals having opinion and expressing them...i do it myself also. The issue just build another problem when eveyone is doing it in scale it saturates all space .

So , i can only add that i feel as needing more time off from information on some weird level . It`s not that i would not consume news/information...i do...but the attitude to them ......It feels like i cant get much further anymore by consuming all , i may even conserve better emotional/psychological level by just refrain consuming it all for a while .

Yes, the current situation is a big crazy mess .

Staying off TwitterX would be a start. LOL

I haven't watched news on TV in ten or more years except for maybe a time or two when some major current event was happening and even then, only a few minutes at a time. It nauseates me.

Daily I check a few local TV station news websites for weather and things happening in my area and between the four of them, I'm getting a good mix of information with far less of the spin and propaganda you get from big national sites. It's still there, there's still sensationalism and entertainment type fluff but it generally doesn't drag me down the rabbit hole of doom and gloom.

As much as I have condemned others in the past of only seeking bias confirming information, I am absolutely guilty of doing the same thing myself for a hit of dopamine and oxytocin to counteract all the unwanted and unpleasant things I will inevitably run into in other places. When you are part of an unpopular minority demographic, it seems like every damn day there's something to bring me down and if I wasn't practiced in the art of not giving a fuck, I'd be spending a lot of money on therapy.

I see your frustration, Kenzo and can empathize. At least as far as things are going here, we have a friendly space to be with little to no in your face toxicity so at least there's that.

Thanks for sharing what's on your mind. I'm sure everyone can relate.

Thank you Freija 🙂

It`s been long time since i had a TV , maybe 10 years ....cant remember anymore . I am guilty of using X daily 👀

Some websites also are that i look up often .

This forum/community is quite new , it is good change to build from scratch . Like having strong social fabric , which means people tolerate others , avoids deep political polarization etc and having this friendly space .

The " other " thing i left from the OP is my opinion ......that a lot / much of this and that is......kind of hallucination , or that reality is malleable. What all the " information" or stories do to us is , to create this " reality" everyday to us and we crave it....even get addicted to receive it daily . Stories make this all feel alive and true . But it`s a touchy , or controversial topic itself .

I think people, a lot are not deep enough in the reality realm . I have problems also regarding having moment of clarity .

I been sayin that for a long time. Our world is more akin to Brave New World.

Brave New World vs 1984: Huxley Tells Orwell “I Was Right”

This quote has lived in my head for ~10 years because it is so damn true:

“We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality – judiciously, as you will – we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors... and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”
— Karl Rove, as reported by Ron Suskind, NYTimes, Oct. 17, 2004

Online I feel like Alice in Wonderland. Outside real world I'm back to normal.
"Most neuroses and some psychoses can be traced to the unnecessary and unhealthy habit of daily wallowing in the troubles and sins of five billion strangers." ― Robert A. Heinlein

I'm on X daily but I do my best to remove all emotion (anger, frustration, depression) and after logging-off I just laugh. Obviously, this doesn't work for everybody.

That video is exellend EMN (y)

Wow what an rabbit hole .

Yeeh online activity has also that negative effect . I have wondered also what technological ways are there to influence minds....like TV or monitor Hz / flickering or microwaves /RF from all wireless tech....i have noticed clear effects from EMF/RF to my mind..making me feel worse, even depressed if high exposure.

And after seeing that video , i concur with the idea that world is more akin to Brave New World, much more than 1984 ever was . And that Karl Rove quote true also .

Yep, that vid was eye opening. Yes, some people are more susceptible to EMF/RF than others. In fact a rare few are so sensitive to EMF/RF they have to live far off-grid. It literally cooks them like radiation poisoning. Horrible.

I am one of those , electro hyper sensitive person. I been living years now far from any urban area because the EMF saturation is 100% surerely too high now days in all urban areas , because the internet & cell phone infrastructure is build that way to cover all those areas where more people live .

Had to stop using tablet also earlyer ,it had 4G connection and it just cooked me / make feel sick . Now just rarely use phone if really need to, but i been thinking if i would dump that too maybe . ( If i dont have phone the CIA cant track me )
