Important Citadel 81 Terms, Conditions, Rules and Policies

Thank you for joining us in the bunker here in Citadel 81. We want you to have a pleasant stay.

Terms and Conditions along with our Privacy and Cookie Policies can be found in links at the bottom of each page to get most of the legal stuff out of the way. In addition to those pre-baked in standard guidelines, we have our own set of golden rules that aren’t too difficult to follow.

We require respect, dignity and civility toward other Citadel 81 members above all else and expect you to conduct yourself here with manners and decorum worthy of your grandmother’s approval. (note: Granny swore like a sailor but was otherwise courteous and polite) In other words, we don’t care what you say or your opinion but we do care how you say it and interact with other members.

Things we won’t tolerate:​

• Hate, Abuse or Disrespect Toward Any Person, Member or Group
• Inappropriate or unlawful content
• Pornography (tasteful or artistic nudity subject to review)
• Links to Inappropriate, unlawful content or pornography

Things we frown heavily upon or do not allow​

• One sentence comments. trolling and shit posting
• Quoting external information without a link to the source
• Posting a quote or video without providing some of your own comments

Our Policies on Politics​

Discussing politics in these modern times is nearly inescapable but becoming a politics focused site is not the direction we want to head or descend into, therefore, please be mindful of our requests.

Discussion of political issues is fine, divisive arguments; finger pointing and name calling is not. This partisan left vs. right sideism is exactly what both “sides” want as part of their divide and conquer strategy and we should be better than that.

If you can’t discuss political topics in a civil manner and only want to argue, point fingers, name call and blame the lert/right for all the world’s ills, warnings will be issued, points may be deducted from your user rank and temporary cooling off periods or brief posting bans may be employed solely at the discretion of staff and management.

We don’t care what you say but we do care about how you say it. If you can’t respond to something with manners and civility, take a break and go touch grass or whatever those damn kids say these days?

• No Soliciting or Advertising without permission
• Don't be an asshole

Privacy Notice Regarding Direct Messages​

Administrators and Moderators cannot read direct messages between other members UNLESS one of those messages is reported. In that case, the reported message is visible to staff for review but other messages in the conversation are not.

Even if deemed inappropriate, reported direct messages between members cannot be edited or deleted by staff nor can the offending user be sanctioned in any way. This appears to be a shortcoming in the forum’s software that is currently being investigated.

We will not share or sell any of your information so you don't have to worry. Any data collected for analytical purposes is anonymized.
