I've never been able to pin point a favorite snack other than "fruit". It's not that I don't like candy ..trust me, I can do some serious damage to a bag of assorted chocolate. I have a Snickers Pecan laying here on my desk....it's been there for a week. I'll get around to it.
Just about any fruit will do, but I'm not particularly fond of kiwi. It just has no taste to it. I know it's high in vitamin C and fiber, but so are a lot of other fruits and if I'm going to eat it, I want to enjoy it.
Watermelon is my go to when it's in season. A big ice cold slice on a hot day...mmmmmm. Don't eat it close to bed time. LOTS of water content and at our age, it's risky.
Peaches right off the tree. There's just no comparison to a fresh peach, still warm from the Sun, juice dribbling down your chin.... { I wish my trees would hurry up }
Mangoes would be next but you have to pick carefully because what looks ripe isn't and then you get that nasty almost kerosene taste.
Apples. I know that's kind of mundane, but an pealed, sliced apple with a hunk of extra sharp cheddar and some Ritz crackers hits the spot. With a grape soda to wash it down of course. Or maybe just some apple slices and peanut butter.
I've been a fruits and nuts kind of eater my whole life. If you gave me a choice between a box of expensive chocolates and a can of Planters Mixed Nuts, 9 times out of 10 I'll take the nuts.....and some fruit.
