House, Trance and Chill out Music

Thanks bigly for sharing!

My computer audio ain't bad but man, I need to go in the other room and listen to these on my hi-fi rig with house shaking subwoofer.

⬆️ That first one waited 45 seconds before the drop. I got anxious!

This one is ancient but I still like the performance

This one is also another slow starter and I posted it at RN but every time I do fire up hi-fi kit, I still listen to it because it sounds and feels so good vibrating in my chest.. It's hard to believe there is also a bass boosted version of this out there.

you’ve known this genre a long time, Yay!

I know a little bit about a lot of things and a lot about just a few things. This particular music genre is not my mostist favoritist because after all, I am a 122 year.old shriveled up get-off-my-lawn Boomer who grew up listening to music made by hand with musical instruments on AM radio before synths and the like were even invented. My roots are with rock, folk rock, alt rock, classic rock R&B-Soul Motown stuff and admittedly a little pop from the 60s through the aughts. I almost cringe when I say it but I had a friend that introduced me to some of the modern rock/country crossover music and I didn't hate it.

With that said, I appreciate electronica and digital as an art form and the skills needed to create it. It is somewhat formulaic but depending on how you consume it, the sound and experience can be amazing and unique. Nothing else really brings out the range and thump of my hi-fi setup even if it's only mid-fi.

I've been so busy with launching this place I haven't really taken time lately to go into my listening room and just listen but when I do, I'm sure to have more I can offer here because once you pick a genre on YouTube, the algorithm keeps recommending it. With the long-running thread at RN, that's kind of intimidating because I was late to the party, it was hard to know what wasn't already shared and I didn't want to be repetitive and redundant! :D

In the mean time though, keep bringing the tunes. I really like when other people expose me to things nudging me out of the mundane and routine.

My daughter introduced me to this music and held what we term a 'bush doof' on our property in the sticks for her birthday one year.

Bush Doof: An outdoor dance party, usually held in a remote or bushland area, featuring electronic music such as trance or techno.

I'm not quite 122 @Freija but I'm not far from my 7th stripe.

It was a great 24 hours. I had a big Barbie area set up with plenty of drinks. We also had to set up blokes and sheilas Dunnies (Toilets) by digging holes, placing seats with cut out portions, and large tarps strung around the trees. Stage areas, lighting and a camp sites. Couple of big fire pits and logs for seats. (My daughter now 26 is back with us out here again and I actually don't mind her putting on the music during the day. )

I hit the wall (fell into the fart sack) (bed) at 8.30am the following morning. Glad I did as the cops showed up 9am and my 'true love' dealt with them. Funny that, the neighbours, miles away called them in for a noise complaint. And right on time as the music stopped at 9am as was the plan.

Rule was, no drugs to be brought onto the property. Sad, but, I wasn't prepared for having stoners. Insurance/legal etc. Had a good roll up though. Something for the young generation out here I guess. Word travelled and they came from miles away. No fights, just a good time. One older lass turned up in a real actual dress. Old mate next to me at the Barbie said, "Have a gander at that!" Noice. Bit of culture. So we downed tools and went to politely assist her setting up her tent. Later her better half turned up, "Six foot four and full of muscles" Well I went back to turning snags on the barbie. I even gave them a free snag sammy each and a can of Fanta.

Fond memories and laughter watching young people express themselves dancing. Kinda the fast robot dance. Except for the neighbours on other selections who had a lot to say on social media. Sigh......So we held anoher one the next year. Same story, cops turned up at 9am. This time I was awake. "we have a noise complaint!" (good little dance munchkins had shut down.). I was settling in for a smoke on a log. I says, "Err righto, I'll tell that noisy couple in the tent over there to tone it down" I yells "Hey you cunts, fucken turn it down a notch! Everyone around can hear yer fukkin groaning." I then said to the fine officers, "There, fixed, she'll be right, do youse want a Fanta?" The Police had a sense of humour, "No she's right" and they left.

For that next day, even when I hit the fart sack the sound "DOOF DOOF DOOF" reverberated in my ears even after shutting down. Those woofers at the parties were huge.

So, thanks for the memories. A good "Doof" cures PTSD for a bit and 24 hours sober lends itself to a healthy sleep. I can recommend it.

Kind regards,

Bally)))

Noice DA. Forgot to mention. The hardest task is cookin a Barbie out in the open at night under strobe lights. Couldn't allow meself to blink. Music was fine.

I liked all the different language, words I've never seen before, and I could hear it in an Aussie accent too, mind blowing! I can't cook outside the mosquitos would drive me insane and inside. hehehe😆🤣

Can only say, there are basically no Mossies where we live. Very rare. We have the odd midgies/sandflys which can give a nasty reaction for me and not others. But that's generally in summer months and when the wind is blowing from the ocean side and the tides are high over the mangroves thataways. But I can attest it was a bug free night on both occasions.

Kind regards,

On ATS I did a thread called “Mississippi, the Birthplace of American Music.” ^ He points out “African beats” in this song and he mentions Marque de Saude (Sadist creating pain for fun) as in our Govt. does. Pain and despair bring about great music, poetry, writing the Soul of music. My opinion only, he’s really good at analyzing this piece of good music. 👍
