Cool.
Something changed with the sidecar aerodynamics (ground effects) causing them to flip when they get air under them like off one of the jumps. The technical regs are going to be completely rewritten for next year to prevent this.
This whole public road/street thing they do over there in the British Isles seems totally nuts to me and other than casually checking out a story or two about the TT, usually about who died this year, I try to look the other way.
I'll admit though I had this picture of famous TT racer Peter Hickman as my desktop background for a while. It's just a cool photo.
As far as women in racing, yeah I did that at the club level for almost 3 years. Took several regional AMA/CCS expert class championships and qualified for a pro license to run at the national level but didn't go that far. Raced locally, Riverside, Willow Springs and Sonoma (formerly Sears Point) with the AFM in California and a track I don't remember the name of in Las Vegas.
I even met my often mentioned ex-husband at the racetrack!
Me on a sighting lap coming onto the grid riding a 1988 Suzuki GSX-R 750 at Firebird Raceway in AZ.
I've always been a little crazy.
