Okay, citadellians, here's your chance to write a short story involving the Citadel 81 bunker and win a prize!
While we can't pay you in latinum bars or anything we can hand out valuable reputation credits that you can spend... well, nowhere actually but they look good on paper and add cred to bragging rights.
In this forum, start a new new article or discussion type thread with C81-1 in the title and in a month or so, determined by if anyone actually participates, a winner will be chosen.
Here's an example to get you started:
The cold and sterile over-processed atmosphere permeating the Exitar class transport ship that brought us here still somehow managed to bring to mind sweaty socks and hospitals and I’m just glad it’s over. Even though it would have been around three years back home, after two light jumps and nine months of excruciatingly dull experienced time, because they still haven’t figured out that goddamn hibernation pod thing yet, I am really glad to be off of that derelict tin can and have somewhere to call home even if it just a fancy expanded bunker on a strange planet.
Let’s just hope these new digs live up to the promises of the brochure? While space colonization of other worlds tapered off after the 2218 Treaty of Donabeech, the RhamZeta Corporation has continued to build out colonies and infrastructure throughout the Andromeda galaxy and with their latest tech, begun to venture into the dimensional multiverse with a series of their installations dubbed “citadels”.
Since this one is 81 they must be getting pretty good at it or they wouldn’t have made it this far? I will say the joint looks decent and it’s nice to place my feet on solid ground again but so far, there aren’t many of us here yet but they’ve built in plenty of room for growth anticipating more will come. One of the nicest things I’ve come across so far is the cantina over in Zone 3. It’s a good spot to strike up a conversation with a stranger or just kick back and watch the show.
The food ain’t bad either. I think I’m going to like it here?
